Subject: Absinthe?

I could be wrong, but wasn't absinthe banned somewhere around the turn of last century?

Yes. Here it is. It was banned throughout the Western world in 1912 and the US Food and Drug Administration refuses to lift the ban because Absinthe contains an herb called 'Wormwood'.

Funny thing is that I learned about absinthe being banned in an art history class. Manet and Picasso both did pieces on the green stuff.
