I wonder why FFIX has not been released for the PC yet? It's a pretty good game, although I haven't beaten it yet. The only thing I don't like about it is the card game and the cartoony graphics. Other than that I like.

Maybe Square and Eidos had a contract that only included the next two FF games in it? Or maybe Squaresoft is planning on making FFIX for the PC on their own?

I too don't own a PC yet, but it's not that I don't have the money, there is another reason. In a month or so I will be getting an apartment with one of my friends and both of the ones that I may move in with have PS2s. So there isn't much point in having two Ps2 in the same place. If the prices are making you reluctant to buy one, think of it this way, it's a DVD player as well so even if the system fails you will still have a fully functional DVD player so it's not like you will lose all of your investment. It workd out pretty well for me because I only have a DVD player on my computer and it would be nice to watch Gladiator on a bigger screen :-)
