Subject: ADL RAM?! What the hell??
In reply to: Madcat 's message, "Yikes....." on 07:28:40 09/08/01 Sat

I've never even heard of ADL ram! I'm pretty sure, with your PC, you'd be looking at the first option. Not only does that ADL ram strike a bell, I'm not even sure if it's for the same platform.

The only thing I can think of the came as the predecessor to SDRAM is EDO RAM, which may very well be used in your computer. If that's the case, I'm afraid you'd be better off upgrading your Motherboard and CPU first, as EDO has become significantly expensive, while PC-133 SDRAM and DDR RAM and such have plummetted. (That's how it is in NZ anyway.)

Let me know what the deal is, I'd take it to a good retail store that handles parts, not just whole PCs, and get them to tell you what kind of RAM it takes.

:)
