He had gotten into the den just moments before her, his tale sticking out from the back of the den. When he heard her come in, he pulled himself backwards and looked to her. "Any luck?" so said he, as he looked to the half-frozen carcuss. He troted over to her, smelling like the outside, but he didn't care. He nudged her a little. "You okay..?" he said with genuiene care.
