My Autobiography

My name is Panuakdet Suwannatat. My nickname is Mock. My parent gave my name after a movie character which was a funny alien from the UFO. I was born in Songkhla, southern province of Thailand, on April 3, 1982. My parent were merchants. My family moved to Chonburi when I was 4 years old. I lived with my mother, my father and my two elder sisters until I was 8 years old. I and my sisters moved to Bangkok for education. I lived with grand mother, studied in my uncle's primary school. Now, my two sisters have been graduated and is working, the first one is a public relation staff, the second one is a food shop manager.

Before I came to the USA, I was studying in Suankularb Wittayalai School, a high school in Bangkok. My school is a 6-year school, grade 7 - grade 12. I joined many special classes provided by my school for talented student such as Mathematics and Computer Study. Later, in grade 10-12, I was also a tutor in those special programs. I joined many training programs outside my school, for examples, Thailand Computer Olympic Training Camp, Junior Science Talent Project, Mathematics Talents Training Camp, etc. Besides academic, I joined many school activities, especially the Mathematics Club which I was the chairman in grade 11.

About my accomplishment, I was frequently selected to be the representative of my school in many interscholastic knowledge competitions, particularly in Science and Computer Study. I was selected by the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) to be long term promoted as a young scientist in the Junior Science Talent Project (JSTP). I won a silver medal from the 12th International Olympiad in Informatics (or Computer Olympic). I helped my Thailand's team won the first runner-up plaque from the SEARCC (South East Asian Regional Computer Confederation) Programming Competition.

In my free time, I usually read some interesting book or just something on the Internet. I spent my time learning my interesting things outside the school's curriculums. I built my own personal website with useful content for the public. About my favorite sport, it is table tenis. About music, I love many kinds of it.

I'm going to attend the Episcopal High School, Alexandria, Virginia. I'll be the only one in my school. I hope that after little time in my school, I'll be able to adapt myself and make a lot of friends. I know since I was in Thailand that the American education system is wonderful. I'd like to see by myself whether I can do well in this wonderful education system or not. However, I feel confident that I'll try hard and I'll be successful. I hope that in my next school, I'll be able to improve myself both in academically and sociality. I expect to be select by a pretty good college to further my study in Computer Science.
