[ Personal Organizer, Paper or Electronic? ]

Life is short, play hard. Many people have heard this phrase. Although lives are short, we have many things to do in this globalized world. We're all living in a competitive society. The one who can manage his time better is the one who will become the winner. There are many ways to deal with time management. One of the most important things is to use a personal organizer. For a long time, people have used paper-based organizers as their time managing assistants. Today, in the digital world, we use electronic organizers instead. Electronic organizers are the most appropriate organizers for our lives.

Electronic organizers offer many advantages of digital data including ease and speed of data retrieval, more data storage, better durability and stability. As a small computer, all data to be stored in every electronic organizer has to be digitallized. Digital data can be processed by computer programs installed in the organizer. With digital data, you can manage your information either manually or automatically.

It's much faster, easier and more likely to find all relevant information with an electronic organizer. For example, when you want to check how many appointments you have with someone, if you use a paper organizer, you have to look over every page of your schedule and find all occurrences of his name. That's boring and time consuming. If you use an electronic organizer, all you have to do is enter the Search command, write his name on the touch screen, and press Enter. That's much faster, easier, and you are more likely to find all data.

Electronic organizers offer more storage of data. One-megabyte memory can contain a million letters of text. Generally, sizes of electronic organizers' memory are 2 megabytes (MB) or more, and even up to 64 MB. Moreover, digital data can be transferred to a computer and saved on various kinds of digital media, which have much more data capacity.

Not only more storage, but also more durability and stability of data can be offered by electronic organizers. Ink may fade as time passes while digital data can last forever. Furthermore, digital data can be easily and cheaply backed up on other media. That's why people should keep their valuable organizing data on an electronic organizer.

An electronic organizer can contain a large amount of data but its physical size is very small. When you were a student, your personal organizer might have been a tiny pocket notebook. When you grow up, being an executive who deals with lots of data everyday, you may need to have a one-inch thick book as your organizer. It's not easy to take it with you everywhere. The only portable thing you can use to organize a lot of data is absolutely an electronic organizer.

Using an electronic organizer can cut down your expenses in the long term. Someone might think that electronic organizers are too expensive compared to paper organizers. It can be argued that, in the long term, lots of paper and ink used by a paper organizer costs more than the price of an electronic organizer, which can be used over and over again by deleting old useless data. Moreover, prices of electronic organizers become lower and lower everyday.

Imagine how happily people can live their lives if thy can manage their time efficiently. Imagine how easily they can manage their time if they can stably store and quickly retrieve lots of data in only a few seconds by using a palm-sized organizer, which doesn't waste any ink or paper. This can be done by using an electronic organizer, the best choice for personal organizers.
