Subject: Water bottle training - how can I get my bunnies to understand?

My two 9 week old bunnies have a water bottle set up in the hutch, and I do also provide water in a ceramic bowl. I have never once seen them use the bottle. I have left them for some time without the bowl to encourage them out of necessity, and while I haven't watched constantly to know if they have used the bottle, the water level doesn't seem to have dropped. I've shown them that water comes out of the bottle by pressing the bottom. I've held one bunny up to the spout, but it panicked. We are going on a short holiday and I need to know that they will have water. Other than rely on a friend to visit daily, does anyone have any suggestions?
