Subject: Rabbit in Western Australia?

Hey guys, I stress maybe a bit too much about my rabbit, well, so people tell me, but I think they don't stress enough about my baby!

I adopted a rabbit off a friend a little while ago when their partner moved in with a big dog who had a somewhat dangerous interest in it, even with it stuck in it's cage, so I got it so he could run around a bit and at least come out for hugs.

For the last few months I've kept him mainly inside, sometimes he'd go run around the (enclosed) patio for a while but he's mainly been an inside rabbit. Due to a change in circumstances I've had to move into a place where they refuse to let me keep him inside (!!!). So far he's adapting pretty well, he went off his food for a few days but he's back to nibbling away again.

What I was wondering is if I should be taking him to the vets to get a shot or two, I'm not sure against what, but am worried that now he's outside the majority of the time he might be exposed to something I don't know about.

Do plan on ringing the vet, but thought I might as well post here as well, I am in Western Australia, if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

- Ged
