Subject: purchasing a bunny

What is the best age to purchase a bunny at? It seems like the ones sold in pet shops are around 12 weeks, but that seems so hold. What is the best diet for a young bunny? Which has the best personality, Holland lop, fuzzy lop, jersie woolie or netherland dwarf? Can any of these be put in a hutch outside when fully grown? What age are they when they are fully grown?
