Subject: rabbit eye swelling

hey my albino female rabbit Skippy we noticed has suddenly swollen near her eye. not the lids, but the place where eye mucus gets collected. her friends Jif has been recently licking her in that exact place, she doesnt seem to really like it, but she lets him do it. wondering if its caused by Jif's licking or if Jif is using insticts to help fix it.

I'm clueless, never seen this before. separate them, take to vet, or just wait it out? what could be wrong with the eye?
