Subject: why does my bunnys back leg fold underneath him?

Herbie is 7 months old he is an albino and we were told he is a dwarf netherland rabbit. not too long ago we noticed his back leg dangling (overnight it happened) he didnt have any accidents and we couldnt think of anything that could of hurt him. we took him to the vet as we also noticed he wasnt eating much and was acting depressed. the vet didnt seem to know what was wrong but gave him a quartisone injection into his knee. He was happy that night and the next day but now he is lethargic and not eating again. his back foot is now sliding uncontrollably everywhere and when he puts weight on it it goes mainly under his body .sometimes when he sits or walks his foot goes underneath and his ankle goes out and away from his body. when he sits down with his legs tucked under, his right foot is in a dramatically different postion to the other foot. he gets to come out of his hutch for about 5 hours each afternoon and he spends that time inside our house. is it possible that he doesnt get enough exercise? could it be because our house has wooden floorboards? What is wrong with our bunny? does anyone know?
