I put (pine) wood chips in the bottom of the litter box. If you notice wild rabbits tend to poop on the top of stumps or fallen trees to mark their territory. My rabbit will almost always urinate there, and when he was younger would mostly poop there. Unfortunately, he has gotten old and tends to poop whereever he is sitting these days.
