Subject: possible E cunniculi

Hello

I am new at this forum
I am owned by ten bunnies at the moment and nr 11 will be comming soon.

Last week I took Candy to the vet because she isn,t like she should be for a long time now ,she doesn,t make a sick inmpresion ,but there is something not right ,she is peeing evrywhere also dripping sometimes, and some day,s she gets aggressive without no reasson.(she is spayed),
and other day,s its like she is living in another world.
She doesn,t seem to notice whats going on around her ,when she is in such a state of mind.
Candy can,t hear very well, and her vision is also not very well.
She also does a lot of stargazing.
After examening her ,my vet thinks it is possible that Candy has chronic
e-cuniculi.
Overhere they don,t do tests for e-cuniculi ,so I can,t be sure.
But all the signs for chronic e-cuniculi are there.( swaying, nodding at rest ,stargazing , aggression , deafness, blindness ,incontinence , loss of balance ,(in Candy,s case not always but only when she gets aggressive)uneaten ceacotrophs etc...)(last year she did have head tilt ,but fortunatly she recovered from this)
My vet thinks that in Candy,s case it is best to treat the symptoms.

Can some one tell me a bit more about E-cuniculli?(lifecycle ,zoonotic potential ,treatment etc I need to know as much as possible about this ,cause I also have my other bunnies to think about.
Whats the best aproach of this situation?

(ps I do own the book textbook of rabbit medicine by Harcourt brown ,but I hope to find some more information ,do some of you have experience with e-cunniculi bunnies ?)

best wishes Hilde
