Subject: Nasty Female

My female bun, who is almost a year old, has recently turned into a territorial, nasty little thing. Everytime she thinks there will be food involved, she begins biting my male and grunting. This is a new behavior. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me why, and if you think spaying her will help. She is scheduled for surgery next month.
