Subject: Buck - troublesome!

I have "inherited" my grand-daughters 1 year old rabbit - we bought it for her as a "female" lop ear dwarf rabbit - it is really cute, but unfortunately "Barbie" turned out to be a Ken.
The rabbit lives with us - we have a 10year old Maltese Terrior - the rabbit who is allowed to roam freely about the back yard - has taken to attacking our dog.
The rabbit is very cute - a bluey grey in colour and easily handled for a cuddle etc - just wont leave our poor dog alone.
I would like to give the rabbit away - due to its attitude towards the dog we have to keep it in the hutch - which we dont really like doing - I am not certain that desexing the rabbit is the answer? do they calm down considerably after this operation?
In any case - I live near Parramatta in NSW and if anyone would like the rabbit & the hutch and is able to let the rabbit run free during the day - I would love to see it go to a good home.
Sandra
