Subject: URGENT - Sick rabbit won't eat

I have an unneutered male rabbit (13 / 14 months old) who appears to have developed a head tilt problem. We have taken him to the vet (who was rude, dismissive and uniformative - told me he'ld either have died in a week, or would be better). She did give him two injections and some liquid oral medicine.

His head is less tilted over the last few days - and while he is still unsteady on his paws, hes not falling over as much. He is rubbing his face a lot and licking his paws, but becomes very distressed when we try to give him his oral medicine and syringe feed him.

Whats most worrying is that I can't get him to eat; he has only eaten dandelion leaves in the last 48hrs, and has lost a lot of weight (even before the head tilt problem started). As he still seems very alert, its breaking my heart cos I know that he needs to eat more if hes to get over this. He will drink if we hold the water bottle to him mouth, but looses interest very quickly when he drinks from the bottle when its attached to the hutch door.

If any one has any advice at all, I would be so grateful.

Thankyou.
