Subject: first time rabbit owner needing advice )

I have many animals ,but this is the first time ive had rabbits,I got 2 rabbits in october 2003 ,when I got them they both were approx 8 weeks old...I got them from different people.
They seem to get along very well together.. Im am unsure what sex they are,I have tried to look but to me its hard to tell,is it easier to tell as they get older? going buy the infomation that i have read they are to young to start breeding, and that is mighty fine with me ..my problem is today I noticed they were trying to mate eachother one was trying first then the other one,this went on for some time then,they start getting a little rough like they were fighting,if they are both male is this normal?if it is a female and male is this normal?or 2 females??do rabbits like most animals have the alpha thing going on?
