Subject: Designs for Rabbit Run?

Hi!

We have just bought a mini Lop and a good sized hutch. However, I want to construct a good sized, safe run for him in our garden. Although the building is not a problrm, I was looking for some "pointers" on the design!

Do I make the base of wood or wire? Do I dig down some way for wire "shields"? What about shade and water proofing? Can I leave the base for open contact to grass? or will the rabbit simply eat all the grass and reduce the base to mud?!!

If you have ANY suggestions, I would be very grateful as I need to start construction ASAP (looks very unhappy sat in hutch and it has only been 1 day!!) and I cannot find any resource on the web!

Thanks
