Hi Claire

Just to add to Marguerites post

>I am updating my message from a few months back, I
>wrote saying I had a new bunny and she didn't like me,
>would not come near me to sniff hated being stroked
>etc...
>
>Now she loves nothing more than to be stroked, when
>you stop she runs around madly to get your attention
>so you continue petting her. She loves people!

So glad to hear that she is more sociable and that you're both getting along :o)

>The only things I am concerned about are: - she still
>refuses to be picked up,

A lot of buns just arent comfortable being picked up. I would try what Marguerite suggested... get on the floor with her. One of my buns that hates being handled will climb all over me when I'm on the floor with her. Sometime they do need to be handled, so if it's necessary (for grooming or nails) make sure you're firm, but gentle so she has confidence that you're not going to drop her. When you're finished sit her on your lap and leave her to decide it's time to leave.

>she sways her head from side
>to side when she is sat still,

Not sure about this one. As Marguerite said, check out the house rabbit society.

>for a couple of hours
>each day she does squigy poo's,

There is a picture here of cecal pellets.

Soft stools can be caused by a dietary inbalance

On the other hand if she's overweight she may not be able to reach around to eat the cecals. Once again the house rabbit society's web site is a good source of information.

>and the last thing is
>when she first see's me and gets excited she runs
>around making a little grunty sound - is this her
>showing her feelings of excitment or does she have bad
>lungs and is it her weezing??
>

If she's not grunting/wheezing at other times I would think it's just excitment at seeing you... she obviously loves you a lot :o)... if it happens at other times, or it concerns you, then definitely get her checked out. It often surprises people at just how vocal buns are!
