Subject: MYXOMATOSIS

I live in theU.K.and have ten rescue rabbits.I've been keeping them for fifteen years, yesterday they all visited the vet for their annual myxy shot.Today I was looking up some information about live vaccines and discovered that pet rabbit keepers in Australia are NOT allowed to vaccinate (is your government mad,or just cruel?)What do you all do?Over here we can buy it from europe if we want to do it ourselves, are you allowed to do the same? Its madness,we are now coming up to autumn(myxomatosis season)and I can't imagine how worried I would be if my rabbits were not protected from this wicked virus.
