Our little guy is almost a year old and is doing the same. He didn't start the dropping thing until a couple of months ago. People have suggested to me that it is a territorial marking thing. His wees always end up in the litter tray unless he manages to sneak on to our bed or the couch.

I still haven't figured out how to stop him as telling him off doesn't work. Would love a suggestion on how to stop him.
