Subject: WORMS IN FECES

hi- we just adopted an indoor rabbit via a friends daughter. it had been at a college dormitory somewhere. it's beautiful and has been with us for about 2 weeks. today one of my daughter's friends arrived at our house before i got home and fed it some peanuts she brought. "baby lippity" has never had peanuts (as far as we know) and seemed unhappy, refusing carrots etc.. for a short period of time. later on, my daughter spotted a little white worm on one of the rabbits feces. we watched her closely and spotted one more pellet like that. since then i have inspected each pellet and i have seen no more. she's eating again and she's in her cage for the night. we havent found much information on any websites regarding worms.
it's saturday night. we dont have a vet yet. they may not be open on sunday. does anyone know what to do about such a situation. any opinions regarding whether this may have to do with the peanuts? thanks for any advice.
constance , lippity and lippity's new owner.
