Subject: New Rabbit

I bought a dwarf lop yesterday from a petshop, she had just been taken in that morning so she hadn't got used to the environment of the petshop.
I got her home and she is very shy as expected.
She doesn't even like been stroked. I read that you aren't supposed to pick rabbits up. So what is the best way for her to get used to me? She is very nervous I sit on the floor with her but she doesn't even dare come and sniff me.
She is living in a hutch in my bedroom at thje moment but I leave the doors open so she can hop around and get used to the environment.
Any advice is welcome - this is my first rabbit since I was about three years old! Thanks
