Hi,
How old are your bunnies? And how long ago did you have
the male de-sexed? The male rabbit can apparently remain
fertile for 7-14 days after desexing so some people have
found vets forget to mention this. The result is unwanted
pregnancies. If your male was fixed some time ago and is
gentle, it may be OK to let him stay in with the female
but the general rule of thumb is to remove him and
keep him in another area. Some males co-exist with mother
and babies and some do not. Also, your female could be
having a phantom pregnancy. Just watch carefully what happens.
Kind regards,
Marguerite
