Far above Mount Mon, within the mists and ether surrounding Dah'li it simply observed. Composed purely of energy, it was anyone's guess whether this being had a thought process at any level, or merely acted instinctively. Whatever force drove it from the time of its arrival, none could say. When it soared past a unique group of travellers, present physically in the ephemeral realm through the efforts and risk of a wizard, a scroll, and a dangerous spell, it did not see the sandstorm they saw, nor the forests upon arrival. This being of light and heat simply sensed that which was around it in the same levels at which itself could be perceived. The body heat of the travellers was there, and on some faint level it sensed two others, more faintly than the other three. One seemed barely there at all, and remarkably similar to the other. Did it discern the second aura as a reflection of the first's subconscious? Did it recognize their native guide as a living being, though its aura did not manifest the way the heat of the other three did? There was a definite gap between what it was perceiving, and what that information meant to it.

When she fought the dragon her actions, the only ones he detected, would have seemed unusual, if such an emotion were available to it. There was something familiar about her signature as well, but at present, this being was incomplete, moreso than ever, and lacked the extra capacity to put thought to the impressions it received, to translate it into something usable.

And so the entity known as the Bolt simply hovered far above and observed the impressions, making no conclusions, arriving at little recognition. It simply watched, and waited...
