Pageant moms, I wish some of you would take more time to make YOUR appearance better. Some of you are so sloppy! No makeup, horrrible clothes, and some look like they just got out of bed, and your children look like dolls...as a judge i see you moms and i think it takes away from your children. Im not talking about a weight issue, im talking about looking neat and CLEAN! -- fed up JUDGE, 11:37:10 04/26/04 Mon

the biggest problem i see this in is the 2-3's, 4-5's a mom that has 2 girls, and a mom to a 10 yr old. (NT) -- these moms may be nice, but PLEASE take PRIDE in your appearance!, 11:41:14 04/26/04 Mon
what mom are you talking about with 2 kids? Surly you are not talking about shannon? she always looke nice! Where do you people come up with this stuff??? (NT) -- ?, 16:19:42 04/26/04 Mon
I do understand where you are coming from! People shouldnt take this as a bash! But when your daughter looks absolutely gorgeous, they are going to look from the them to you, the mother! I have watched in the past, and normally in the baby group the moms whom are dressed up and sometimes even match the babies, have scored much better then the moms whom looked like they just got out of bed! When my daughter was lil I dress a couple times to match her, and the judges even wrote on the score sheets they were excited to see a matching pair on stage! I think my daughter does better when I dress up too, she thinks its a big event and she is the shinning star the reason I too am dressed up! She also does better on stage! (NT) -- jmo, dont start a bash with this! I think the moms on GMA looked great this morning!, 11:45:17 04/26/04 Mon
Goodness where did this come from? Did someone not look presentable this weekend? (NT) -- ?, 12:25:27 04/26/04 Mon
Though it does look horrible for a mom to not try to look presentable, it should NEVER reflect on the child. If any judge says any different, then they are very UNPROFESSIONAL and biased. (NT) -- Have to judge that CHILD for their performance that DAY only!, 12:35:34 04/26/04 Mon
Stewart always looked great in his tux with baby Kria...that was an awesome group. Another mom that should be proud is Alisha and baby Cassadee...sooo cute together. (NT) -- A certain baby in the 2-3 stands out in my mind as having a tacky mom..too bad, beautiful little girl, and it dont seem to hurt her that her mom is a slob, she is a winner!, 12:37:34 04/26/04 Mon
I agree with this Judge 100% I see moms that look like they just woke up! I dont do pageants that much anymore I go watch and I have to agree with this judge!!! come on mothers you can look better than this! (NT) -- an ex pageant mother/judge/spectater, 12:39:29 04/26/04 Mon
One of the very first things my childs pageant coach told me was how proud she was that I took pride in my appearance. No blue jeans or shorts and tshirts just as your child is a representative of you so are you for her or him. DO NOT think the judges never walk around or look around the audiance because they do. Looking neat takes such a small amount of time, and your children will appreciate it also! (NT) -- Vickie, 12:50:06 04/26/04 Mon
Well gee, maybe some of us "no-makeup" moms are pretty enough as is,lol!!! Give me a break people....you will find ANYTHING to complain about. Get a life please. (NT) -- ., 12:45:38 04/26/04 Mon
I don't have a little one, but I've noticed that when the mom or dad is wearing mostly black and is behind the little one, the contestant really shows up good! (NT) -- jmo, 13:32:44 04/26/04 Mon
OK, I have to say this, you think you as a mom is pretty enough without all the makeup and clothes, what is that saying about what you think of your child? Your little baby looks better in makeup, but you dont? Come on people grow up. You insulted your own beautiful child just to defend yourself being a slob. (NT) -- me, 13:33:38 04/26/04 Mon
Grow up people....I was being "funny" when I typed the "no makeup" thing. SHEESH! Oh, but FYI, I do think my child is prettier w/ out makeup. She wears makeup for pageants for lighting reasons. Bright lights = washed out face if there is no makeup. Same goes for dance, theater, cheer competitions, so on. Now, lets move on shall we "ladies"??? (NT) -- ., 13:54:27 04/26/04 Mon
Actually, it isnt even a makeup issue...but gosh, BRUSH YOUR HAIR! Put on a shirt that doesnt have holes and stains! Wear jeans that fit and that arent too big or too tight, and that dont have smudges and smears on them! (NT) -- It takes only a minute to look nice neat and clean! You children are wearing 1000.00 dresses and your wearing something that looks like you found it in the goodwill needy bin and didnt wash it!, 15:01:58 04/26/04 Mon
Ugh, look......I do not know who you are refering to, but enough already. I really don't judge the moms, and if if you quit judging them then you might have a more productive life. Just a thought sweetie! I guess a little doll outscored your little doll and all you can do is bash a mom. Wanna cookie for your effort? (NT) -- ., 15:44:31 04/26/04 Mon
Actually..sloppiest moms are dustys mom, catarinas mom, sydneys mom, and benjis mom dresses like a guy. (NT) -- you wanted names? there ya go. want more?, 16:08:25 04/26/04 Mon
As a mother to a baby I know that your apperance can reflex on the child. I usually end up wearing more make-up on a pageant weekend than I would on a typcial day. Plus I always either match her or make sure to wear basic colors that won't clash (NT) -- Me, 15:07:34 04/26/04 Mon
If i were bashing someone because they beat my daughter as you say, i would be naming names,...this is a general message to all sloppy moms, (NT) -- you must be one of them., 15:51:35 04/26/04 Mon

Ok I can take sloppy no makeup moms, but I can't handle loud. (NT) -- It is so distracting to have a mom jumping up and down, yelling and screaming right behind you. Mom please remember the judges you are standing behind can hear everything. Loud and Low., 15:59:55 04/26/04 Mon
sloppy moms: dustys mom, catarinas mom, sydney's mom, brookes mom, "sassys" mom, cami's mom, julians mom, mikaylas mom, journeys mom, brooke b's mom, and blakes mom...(there are more!) (NT) -- these moms are also EXTRA loud!, 16:16:37 04/26/04 Mon
if your naming names (NT) -- why don't you finish, 16:20:16 04/26/04 Mon
And PLEASE, for the love of God, moms with little ones, PLEASE do not wear low cut shirts or very short skirts. When you lean over, we don't want to see what looks like an udder (NT) -- Also, when you squat down with the babies, we don't need to see what color panties you're wearing. I judged once, and she wasn't wearing any!!! EWWWWWW , 16:20:29 04/26/04 Mon
Hi! This is in response to the person who complained about moms wearing jeans and t-shirts, esp. ones with stains. I know that my fixes her hair and puts on makeup on pageat days but usually wears jeans and a t-shirt so that when she is helping with my makeup or using hairspray, she doesnt mess up any good clothes. (NT) -- Also they are easier for her to move around in to help me change and carry things from our room to the ballroom!, 16:25:35 04/26/04 Mon
