the following is from Dr Erb, rgding presentation and essay.

Hi,
I would like for you to apply the readings in some way, ie do some kind of
research on the topic within the Singapore context. You are doing
"modernity" and "automobiles"? So what cases can you find in Singapore that
illustrates the kind of things discussed in the readings. In other words
some research is involved in this.
Hope that answers your question about the presentation. Length, all together
the whole thing should take about 1 hour I guess, which means about 15-20
minutes per person.
As for the paper, you should each write one. I guess it should be 3000-3500
words? or so.
Based on your presentation, but expanded. Data, argument, supported by the
literature.
Deadline, 12 April.
