Dear Friends,

Welcome back and wishing you a blessed new year & semester.

Just two short announcements:

1. I'd suggest that, when term starts next week, you attend the module you signed up for and, if applicable, the module you would like to add. Add-drop would probably be manual. Look out for details end of next week. We would try our best to accommodate all requests for add-drop.

2. In regard to the thesis, I'd like to suggest that, as a rule of thumb, you aim for a first draft by end January and a second draft by end February. Deadline is March 15. Do bear in mind that Feb is quite short and has 3 public holidays plus the one-week recess. Please discuss your HT time-frame with your supervisor and allow him/her sufficient time to read your drafts. Do keep well and stay calm and believe that you are capable of writing a good thesis. Don't panic or cause any alarm to yourself or others. When in doubt or facing a problem, see your supervisor at the first instance; don't avoid him/her.

All the best.

Dr TanES
