Some of us have been wondering whether we will be bound to the thesis title we are supposed to submit this coming Friday so i went to ask Dr Tan Ern Ser yesterday for his comment on the issue. His reply is that (and i try to quote as close as possible), we should not correct the title drastically but minor alterations are ok. This is done so that students don't suddenly come out with something new at the last minute. How much variation in title that is acceptable will of course be entirely subjective. As for penalty of changing titles, i heard from some of our seniors that we will be penalised however according to Dr Tan, he was quite vague and said it really depended on how much your title changed and of course doing such a thing leaves people with a bad impression.

Well, this is what i learnt from him, thought i'd share it with you guys. feel free to add contradictory statements and good luck to all for their thesis
