Dear Friends,

In the midst of your busy-ness with the thesis, if you could find the time to reflect a little, you might want to read Howard Becker's Writing for Social Scientists (1986), in particular the chapter with an eye-catching title, "Learning to write as a professional".

On the sociological perspective, I think it's always refreshing to re-read Peter Berger's Invitation to Sociology and some parts of CW Mills' Sociological Imagination, in particular the chapter on Intellectual Craftsmanship.

Best wishes,

TanES
