While i understand that it is inappropriate to generalize the results based on a small sample to the whole Singapore population, I don't really know how to make my arguments convincing. My question is, how do we go about constructing a convincing argument based on our results from the field? Especially since most of us are not using statistical data.

I don't know about the others but I am worried that what I have gathered from the field so far may not be enough, whatever enough might mean... Given the short frame of time available for fieldwork and various other practical limitations, some of us might not be able to get as much respondents or cases as we like. Therefore, how do we construct a strong argument? What exactly is expected from us?

Perhaps another workshop session on thesis writing might be handy at this point of time??
