I don't know about "latest", but he specifically did mention that generally, essays are due 3rd week of October. Which technically puts it week after next, or approx 3 weeks before the exam.

What the heck does he want in the paper anyway? One week he says a think-through about methodology, another week he says a think-though about the research question and the sociological problem. And his course is (supposed to be)about interpretive semiotics or something along those lines. Geh??
