Hi,

Regarding your question about a "Shoesmith". I have ancestors around at the same time who were "Shoeing Smiths" which might be the same thing.

They were similar to Blacksmiths but specialised in Shoeing Horses, and were usually found in the larger Towns and Citys to service all the working Horses there, - as opposed to Blacksmiths who were usually found in the smaller towns and villages and undertook all kinds of work.
