I have tried through many channels to link up with you as I too am searching my Houghton ancestor's.

My name is Barry Houghton and I live in New Zealand. My father and his family come from Leicester.

Dad was born in 1919 and his father, Ernest Houghton, was born around 1886 in Leicester. My G.Grandfather, Edwin Houghton, was born around 1847 in Leicester.

According to my records they come from Narborough and I believe Edwin is buried at Welford Road cemetery.

I would be delighted to make contact with you in the hope that we might have a connection. Do you yourself actually do genealogy research as I am looking for a connection in Leicester?
