Subject: Tracing John Spreckley born 24th Jan 1708

I have traced my Spreckley ancestry back to John Spreckley born 24th Jan 1708 and died 28th July 1792. John was married 3 times, his first marriage to Sarah Mott states he was from Stathern, he then married Ann Darbyshire and 2 years later married Elizabeth Bennett, both marriages at Muston. I presume he was born in Leicestershire somewhere, has anyone come across him at all? I had a look at the Stathern records about a year ago and couldn't find anything but I got his birth date from a Guy Etchell's site, so the info must be there somewhere. By the way he is buried at Bottesford. Hope someone can help. Alexandra Kingman
