Subject: Little one takes his first step

The dew had fallen over the land, and the golden sunrise began to melt away the night. Leuscious stood, rejeuvinated. She trumpeted her morning call to the herd for them to awaken. Her narrow muzzle pointed towards her sun. She arched her long neck and nuzzled the sleeping colt, nudging him awake she nickered sweetly.
His head popped out of the tiny ball of fur. He was fuzzy for he was only two days old, his garnet red hair glinted in the rising sunlight. It bristled out of his hairline like feathers and a soft nub began to throb in the middle of his forehead.
Leuscious licked his nose stimulating him to try and stand. She stood tall as well.
"Come on my precious. . . stand." She whispered to herself watching the ebony black foal struggle to his feet. She stood rigidly to show him how.
After a few agonizing attempts, the tiny colt stood wobbly. Leuscious snorted and preened his bristly mane.
Making sure the tiny one was watching her, she carefully took a slow step in front of him.
"Take a step for me will you?" She whispered into his tiny ear. He emitted a squeaky murmur and lifted his tiny golden hoof forward. Awkwardly it landed in front of him, and the other came out. Stretched out like an accordian, he had forgotten to take his back legs into consideration.
So Leuscious nickered a sweet laugh and nudged his back legs forward. Once that was done, the black foal stepped forward (using all four legs this time) and managed to stay upright.
Within moments the monumental colt gathered speed and began venturing in wobbly gates.
Leuscious' golden eyes watched the baby with caution. SHe eyed the rest of the herd and made sure he wouldn't venture towards the cliffside.
"Come child. . . I shall take you into the fields where you will be safe." She said. She stood regally before the tiny foal then walked him slowly away fromt the cliffside. Once the black bundle learned to walk, she'd present him to his father.
