Yeah, I don't know either. Usually the comp. average is in order from best to worst, like #1 is better than #2 and #7 is better than #8, and so on. Someitmes thats not true though.

The BCS composite is calculated by several factors. They take into consideration the toughness of your schedule. Such as if you play lots of ranked teams or if your opponents all are really bad teams. This gives a person credit for beating higher quality opponents. Another factor is the conference or division. A team that wins the SEC or Big 12 has a better chance than a team that wins the WAC. They also take into consideration how badly you beat your opponents. So play in a tough conference, with a well known school, run the score up and you should be ranked high enough to play for the title.
