Subject: McMinamay or McMenemy and Calder

Looking for information on my gggrandparents. I found the following information in a Family Registration book of a daughter of my ggrandparents. William McMinamay married Jane Calder in 1854 in Hadinton or Hudinton. You can't make out if it is an "a" or a "u". However, since I can't find a city, town or village under either spelling in Canada or the UK, I would think that the spelling is likely Hadington, Scotland. That is all I have on them prior to them immigrating to Halton County, Ontario, Canada in late 1854 or early 1855. Their first child was born in Halton County in September 1855. Does this fit with any information anyone has. THanks.
George
