Subject: Sylvanus Family Cardiff, Wales

I need some help from anyone who can help me. I started doing family tree research for Christmas gifts for my grandparents this last year. My grandmothers side came to a brickwall, but at the same time became a urgent quest on my part, as my grandmother was diagnosed with a lung tumor and is given 3-6 months. I really want to get her some of this in time.

This is what I know: My grandmothers mother was born Margaret Sylvanus, in Cardiff, Wales on April 27, 1879.
Her Parents were David Sylvanus & Elizabeth Lloyd-Jones, I have no birthdates from them.

The family immagrated to the US in approx 1881-1882 (my grandmother told me her mother was 2 when she came to the US) At the time they left Wales, the family consisted of the following Children: Mary, John, David, Thomas & Margaret. Two additional children were born in the US, Jess & Everlene.

My grandmother thinks that her grandfathers mothers name was Mary.

I do not know what city they landed in when they reached the states, but do know that the family lived in Iowa (possibly New Wales or Henderson Iowa) and then later Nebraska.
My great grandmother was married to Harvey Whitmore Goodspeed Frink on 3-20-1899 They had 13 children, my grandmother was the 10th born,the last girl & the only surviving child of Harvey & Margaret.
Margret died 1-18-1961 in Carroll Nebraska.

I would like to find any of the following information:
1. The birth dates od David & Elizabeth.
2. When & Where they were married
3. The names of their parents & any corresponding dates
4. The name of he ship the came on. (I have been thru Ellis Island web site, but can find no records.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
