Subject: DOWD, O'CONNOR

Starting a search for ones ancestors with absolutely no information about them, other than a name, can be quite difficult. This was my situation. Only through the US census, city directories, cemetery records and obituaries was I able to trace my Pallister ancestors to 1834 County Kilkenny. Now the search begins for my grandmothers family.
I'm hoping someone can point me in the best direction with the sparce information I have.

Patrick O'Connor, born 1854 in Northern Ireland to Patrick O'Connor (1810-?). Patrick (1854-1927) immigrated to the US in 1871 to Jersey City, NJ.

Nora Dowd, born 1855 in Northern Ireland.
