FYI - The following are Hynes families in and around Liscannor Parish which is very near to Lisdoonvarna. The dates are marriage dates or range. Hope this is of some help to you.

Bef 1855 _______ HYNES and Minnie ______ b c 1820. In 1901 she is living w/son Patrick and his wife Catherine Hynes in Ballycotteen North. She is married but no husband present.

Bef 1864 ______ HYNES d bef 1901 and Mary _____ b c 1840 . In 1901 living in Knocknaskeagh w/son John ae 36, DIL Ellen ae 35 and four grandchildren.

Bef 1876 _______ HYNES and Kate ______ b c 1841 of Clahane. Widowed and living w/sons Owen b c 1881 and Daniel b c 1876 in Clahane in 1901.

Bef 1894 _______ HYNES d bef 1901 and Anne ______ b c 1860 a farmer of Knocknaskeagh. In 1901 Anne the widow is living in Knocknaskeagh w/ch Mary ae 6, Patrick ae 5, John ae 4 and father Denis Hynes ae 80.

Nov. 1843 Dan HYNES a laborer of Clahane or Terraghbeg (died 1865-1901) and Mary THOMAS (died after 1901 census). Sp. for Thomas: Mary Hynes. Dau Norry mar John Rouine a herdsman of Clahane. In 1825 Tithe List a Owen Hynes held 5 acres and Patrick Hynes owned 3.5 acres in Clohaundyne. In 1825 Tithe List, a Danny Hynes old 3 acres in Kineilty and 50 acres in Kineilty w/partners.

Ch: Patrick b 12/30/1908, Mary b 1910, John b 1912, Mary (mar James Moylan in Bristol, England) b 1913, Margaret b 1915, Bridget (mar Thomas Carney in England) b 1916, Anna b 1916 (mar Jim Flood in Kildare 9/29/1950), Honora b 1917 (mar Michael Lohan in Bristol, England), Kathleen b 1921 (mar Dan Millinder 10/31/1964 in Bedminster, Bristol, England) and Elizabeth (single). Ch b in Smithstown, Kilshanny. [In GV in Smithstown, a Michael Hynes is tenant of Edw W. Stratford with 50 acres.]

2/10/1865 John HYNES b c 1838 a laborer of Kilshanny s/o Michael Hynes and Margaret McNAMARA b c 1834 a widow of Kilshanny dau of Connor Moran dec’d a farmer. Test: Thomas Crowe and Bridget Hynes.

Bef 11/1866 John HYNES laborer of Smithstown and Margaret MORAN. Ch: James b 11/11/1866 in Smithstown, Bridget b Smithstown 3/16/1868, Kate b 8/25/1869 in Smithstown dau of John Hynes farmer of Smithstown and Patrick b 3/13/1871..

Bef 1894 John HYNES a farmer of Knocknaskeagh b c 1864 s/o Mary ____ and Ellen _____ b c 1865. In 1901 living w/his mother Mary and wife and ch: Patrick 6, Austin 4, John 1 and Mary 1 month.

Bef 1830 Michael HYNES and Ellen ______ of Carrowduff, Parish of Cahir. Their son John emig to Boston 1850 and was emp on a farm in the vicinity of Boston. Info req by his brother, Michael Hynes, c/o Mr James Coyne, Ridgeway, Elk Co., PA.

2/9/1876 Michael HYNES of Smythes Town (Smithstown) and Bridget “Brid” FLANAGAN. Dau Kate b 12/20/1876 in Smithstown. Michael Hynes of Smithstown in GV 1855 as leasing 50 ac, house and offices from Edward W. Stratford. A Bridget Hynes (1804-9/4/1869), wife of farmer, died of bronchitis in Caherbarna. James Dunleavy was PAD.

1920-30's Michael HYNES 1900-1988 son of Patrick Hynes and Kate White, and Anne GREENE. Ch: Patrick, Mary, Michael, Francie, Augustus and Theresa. Marriage place unknown. Tom Guthrie: Six children most of whom are in England but I am fairly sure that Michael and one of his sons, Francis, are still living in Ballycotton.

Bef 1864 Owen HYNES farmer of Clahane and Kate MAGUAN. Dau Nory b 5/26/1864. Son Patrick b Clahane 2/2/1867. Dau Anne b 2/24/1870 in Clahane w/Mary Hynes PAB. Dau Anne mar John F. Donahue b Holliston MA and res 7620 Longley, Chicago when Ann visited Liscannor 1913 w/ch Mary 11 b 3/14/02 and John 5 b 2/23/08.

2/12/1884 Owen HYNES b c 1857 farmer of Clahane and Mary REIDY b c 1863 of Ardnacra.Sp at b of dau Bridget: Martin Rouine and Bridget McDonogh. Res Clahane.1911-1ch l lv. In 1901 owned homes of Patrick Hynes and Owen Hynes the younger whose mother is Kate. Their nephew is Daniel Reidy b c 1891 res w/them in 1901 in Clahane. Land owned 1855 by Daniel Hynes, 1867-1868 Owen Hynes (Dan) and 1928 by Anne Reidy.

Bef 1900 Patrick HYNES b 1856 and Kate WHITE McMahon d/o of John White and Margaret Guthrie1859-1938. Ch: Michael Hynes 1900-1988 (Anne Greene 1912-1988). Kate later married Michael McMahon and had no ch. In 1901 Patrick 45 and Catherine 40 are living in Ballycotteen North w/son Micko 7 months, mother Minnie Hynes 80, nephew 3, and servant Patrick xxxxx ae 50 and niece Annie Flanagan ae 15. Dec. 15, 1900 Patrick Hynes owned 24 1 14 ac in Carrowduff and since no taxes had been paid, no proccedings have been taken in these cases as holding were nearly all covered by a moving bog.

Bef 1892 Patrick HYNES b c 1871a general laborer of Clahane and Ellen _________ b c 1871 and d bef 1911. Ch: John b c 1892, Margaret b c 1894, Patrick b c 1896, Mary b c 1898 and Anne b 1900, Owen b 1904 and Nola b 1908. Owen Hynes owns their 3 room house in 1901. In 1902 Pat Considine owns land. Ch Annie 11, Mary 15 and Patrick 17 arr NY on Cymric Nov. 3, 1913 going to Chicago.

April 1932 Patrick HYNES (b 12/30/1908 in Smithstown, Kilshanny of James Hynes and Hanora Mantle) and Maura McGANN in Galway. Son: Seamus. Patrick’s second wife was Angela GRIFFITHS.

11/8/1967 Patrick HYNES of Smithstown b 12/30/1908 and Angela GRIFFITHS.

Prob1760's William LYNES/HYNES and Honor HEHIR (1747-1802) ‘a mother dear’.
