Subject: McGahan/McGann Calen/Keelan

I am trying to track down any decendants of the McGahan/McGann clan who came to England around 1845 onwards. They came into the north east of England where they worked as miners and labourers in the ironworks. Names include Thomas, James, Patrick,Owen/Eugene,Mary.Jane,John,Bridget.
Any information would be great as my cousin is coming to England from Australia in May and we would like to find a link around Monaghan or Armagh. I think a place called Carrickmacross or Carrickmanniss could be a link to the plaace of origin. We are planning a visit to Ireland and would dearly love to find ancestors before our trip.
Thanks in anticipation
Ann Dawson
