Couple of answers:
Yes your CV2 rom is corrupt. Yup there are a few places out there that have a good copy. Look up a place called Tobbeo for those two.

As for nesticle. It was good. But there are better now. For windows try NESTen or SMYNES. For DOS based NES emulators that work great go LoopyNES or FWNes.

RockNES is also great. Also most of these emulators are updated frequently so always look for a new version every once and a while. NEsticle is now a dead project.
