Subject: A room Author: Rueben Heart [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 09:32:17 05/26/02 Sun ^Tired and exhasted, Rueben enters a room filled with rich tapestry and linen. He takes off his armor and then his tunic, wincing at the pain in his arm. Unwraping the bandage from his right forarm, he examines the sword wound. The blood had slowed down. From his pouch, he takes another long piece of cloth and bandages up his wound once more. Kicking off his shoes, he flops down onto the bed and looks up at the ceiling with troubled thoughts. Slowly he drifted off to sleep... ++ "Rueben, isn't it a wonderful day to get married?" Jessica smiled at him in the beautiful garden as she twirled in the sunlight. Rueben stood and admired his fiancee, smiling softly, "It's always a wonderful day to get married to you." Their hands came together and the slowly walked through the beautiful garden together. Suddenly, the sky grew dark. "Rueben!" Athena, his mother ran out into the garden with distress. "Mother, what's happening, what's wrong?" Rueben ask, holding onto his mother to try and calm her. "It's the dark dragon... the prophecy is coming true.. son, his minions are taking over. You and Jessica must not marry! No matter what!" His mother looked at him, tears filling her eyes, "They're breaking down the palace doors." "I will get my bow" Rueben says and then runs off to get the bow of light. "I will fight too." Jessica holds onto her amulet around her neck and follows Athena inside. The dark minions overpower the seal of the doors and force their way through, slaughtering the thousands of guards who protect the crystal of life in the grand hall. Rueben's father, the king, looks at his wife and shakes his head. She looks up at her husband and gives a worried look. "There is no other way that they can be stopped" Looking over to their son, their daughter, and to Jessica and give a sad yet determinded look. "We will stop them" Ruebens mother takes the crystal of life and walks towards Jessica. "I entrust this to you, Jessica." Nodding Jessica closes her eyes. Athena murmurs some anceint words and the crystal glows and engulfs Jessica and disappears into her. The pounding of the hall doors gets louder and blood begins to seep through from under the door. Rueben's sister, Lily, screams and grabs onto her brother tightly. Athena then turns to her husband, tears streaming down her face and nods. Both murmuring ancient tongue as a white ball surrounds them and lifts them off the ground. They rise half way off the ground as the doors burst open, the dark minions sprinting towards the young ones. They continue to murmur the words and the ball glows as they embrace each other. Suddenly a burst of white light fills the room and streches out over the elf kindgom and all the dark minions vanish... and so does Rueben's parents."Mother! Father!"++ Rueben wakes up in a cold sweat, his wound burning more than ever. Tears are streaming from his face.
