Hi Bonnie,
I just wanted to share my story with you. I had my tubes tied at a young age 21. My Gyn. had pulled the records from the hospital to see exactly how the procedure was done. This will tell him if the tubes were burnt, cut and how much was cut. Everything seemed good according to my records. I had my reversal done May 2001 by a specialist that I was referred by from my Gyn. Everything went well. The recovery was fast. I hadn't had any luck throughout the year. In Jan. I returned to my Gyn. I had die ran through my tubes to make sure there was not any scar tissue. Everything was ok. The next step was "Clomid" which is a fertility drug that helps you ovulate more. In Feb. I took this from my 3rd. to my 7th day of my menstural cycle. It worked. I am now 5 weeks pregnant.
My surgery had cost me $7500. for the hospital fees and $2000 up front for my Dr. preforming the surgery. Then there were misc. charges for the anesthesiologist, ect. My insurance didn't cover any of this. However, The hospital gave us a 30% discount for paying this off within 6 mo. approx. If you really want to do this,You'll find a way like we did. Good luck.
