The funny thing is that this is actually true. :) Japanese has a fixed amount of syllabic sounds, which always end in one of five vowels (so either a vowel alone or a consonant + vowel makes a syllable - a, i, u, e, o; ka, ki, ku, ke, ko, etc.). What that program is doing is giving you your name in its closest Japanese equivalent - and yes, that's how a Japanese would actually say it. :)
