I get it now. I must have been very very stupid or tired not to have seen it before. Ironically, in order to get out of the store with none of the items, you'd have to fork over $4.00. And if someone stole an item, (-1) he'd have to pay either $11.00 or $8.00 (perhaps a sale price?) for the priviledge of shoplifting.

Does this mean that i'm worth as much as Tom Cruise? Or Ben Afflek? Or even (gasp) Ross Perot?

BTW, the vowel idea does work.
