Debbie does Alfred Ludlow was the scriptwriter's original working title. Shame that they changed it to Legends of the Fall for the popcorn mobs. Alfred Ludlow, for those who haven't seen this movie, is the character that uttered the quote from Mo's clue. Poor bastard. Both his brothers got to nail his wife and all he got was a replica Bowie hunting knife.
