I am having a Ralt RT30 re-fettled for use in ARP. I intend to do most of the 2002 rounds. I have two questions related to this discussion on tyres:

Would the equivalency formula be re-worked to allow for the performance increase given to the newer cars as a result of the introduction of radial tyres (I assume that an RT30 is designed to run on the tyres currently in use)?

How serious is this discussion? I note that there is a statement that the 2002 regs are not being changed - other than by moving the class A cut off date.

Regards.
