Subject: Bill Cerri: please help me find the name of a recording he played one December

I just sent an email to WETA, but perhaps the WETA institutional memory isn't strong enough, but is out "there" in the Memory Bank.

One December Bill played the most beautiful, moving, down-in-the-basement, basso contata recording of a solo Russian. It was dirge slow, yet Christmas-related. Email didn't exist then, and being a procrastinator, I am now just inquiring.

How different our lives would have been had we had email back then. Not to mention computers and xerox machines when the only duplicating machine was the purple mimeograph. But I digress.

If anyone can help me identify the recording, or point me in a direction to search, I would appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Kathleen M. Zaffina
